Abstract
This paper presents works of a historian and theologian of the Russian Orthodox Church, an activist, the last Ober-procurator of the Holy Governing Synod of the Orthodox Church in Russia preparing the outline of the integrity of the Orthodox Church sovereignty of the local council in 1917–1918. He was an active member of the Russian emigration, an implacable ideologist. The author presents an image of the rich spiritual heritage of Anton Kartashev, analyse his contribution to the development of history as a science and Orthodox theology.
